DESCRIPTION:Cupping can be a fun and versatile type of play. Fire cupping can be exciting\, put on a good show and be an interesting form of sensation play. Cups can be used dry or wet – where the skin is pierced and blood is drawn up into the cup. Whether long distance by choice or by circumstance\, workshop participants will be invited to examine their own thoughts\, values\, and practices and how these support and/or undermine their relationship goals. In this interactive workshop\, participants will be offered (and invited to share their own) guiding frameworks as well as pragmatic tools to help foster healthy and fulfilling D/s\, Sex\, and Play dynamics across the miles. \n  \nBIOS \nPatty (she/her)\nPatty is a butch leatherdyke from Toronto\, Canada and has been involved in the Leather Community long enough to go through several incarnations and take a few trips around Kinky Block. She is honoured to hold the titles of International Ms Leather 2014\, Ms Leather Toronto 2014\, and Ms Northbound Leather 2013. She presents workshops on mummification and spanking and regularly co-facilitates experiential “novice nights” in Toronto that cover a wide range of kink related topics and skills.  With 20 years in mental health services\, Patty is also passionate about developing the capacity of leather/kink/bdsm & puppy communities to better understand and respond to those in mental health distress. When not otherwise engaged in these things\, she plays as hard as she works and is a huge fan of dangerous things wrapped in pretty packages. \nShilo (she/her)\nA fierce advocate for visibility and community building\, Shilo combines her DIY aesthetic with kinky functionality to design and sell creative flagging solutions\, most notably\, her Femme Flagging Flowers. RPC’s primary work is organizing the Queer Liberation March. In June 2019\, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising\, RPC mobilized more than 45\,000 people to recreate the original 1970 Christopher Street Liberation Day March route uptown from Stonewall to Central Park. In 2020\, under the darkness of the global pandemic\, RPC held the Queer Liberation March for Black Lives and Against Police Brutality. The QLM is the annual people’s protest march without corporate funding; corporate floats; politicians’ grandstanding; or police control or involvement.

Let’s talk about oppression baby! \nBio:\nIgnacio G Hutía Xeiti Rivera\, M.A.\, is a cultural sociologist with expertise in sexual trauma\, healing\, and liberation for marginalized people. They are an internationally known gender non-conforming speaker\, trainer\, and consultant. Ignacio has over 20 years of experience on multiple fronts\, including economic justice\, anti-racist\, and anti-violence work\, as well as mujerista\, LGBTQI\, and sex-positive movements. Ignacio uses they/them/their\, and is the Founder and Executive Director at The HEAL Project.

LSM is excited to welcome Miss Lola Sunshine as our host for the 8/4 LSM Social. \nMommy Cocktail Hour is a social hour and discussion group for queer Mommies and those who love us.  Let’s meet and create a Mommy-centered space.  We’ll discuss the hows and whys of the Mommy role and have some Mommy cruising time. \nBio:\nMiss Lola Sunshine is a queer high femme\, slut\, pervert\, and Leather Mommy.  She believes in sex\, glitter\, excellent manners\, and cooking with real butter. She teaches sex and kink education and has helped host and facilitate play parties and gatherings for adult littles\, queer and trans people\, and people of color in the Bay Area; which is where she lives\, works\, and plays with her dog Cupcake and over 50 pairs of shoes.

With the sometimes boisterous support of her best friend\, out lesbian Laura (Pernell Walker)\, Alike is especially eager to find a girlfriend. At home\, her parents’ marriage is strained and there is further tension in the household whenever Alike’s development becomes a topic of discussion. Pressed by her mother into making the acquaintance of a colleague’s daughter\, Bina (Aasha Davis)\, Alike finds Bina to be unexpectedly refreshing to socialize with. \nWondering how much she can confide in her family\, Alike strives to get through adolescence with grace\, humor\, and tenacity – sometimes succeeding\, sometimes not\, but always moving forward. – Focus Features \n\n\nJoin LSM for another installment of our online monthly movie night – we’ll be watching Pariah (2011). A powerful\, low technology form of self-healing\, breathwork connects us to our bodies\, moves stuck energy and emotions and opens our hearts. It also helps us plug into our intuition\, embodied wisdom\, memory\, and creativity. During breathwork\, you intentionally change your breathing pattern. There are many forms of breathwork therapy that involve breathing in a conscious and systematic way. In our hour we will cover (breathing techniques)\, meditation\, and guided relaxation. \n3-Breath Inhalation Upper Chest Release (Cleansing and Relaxing Breath): This technique stimulates oxygen flow\, cleanses\, clears\, and soothes your mind and your body. \nMindfulness via Grounding: Grounding “anchors” you to the present and to reality.
