DESCRIPTION:Cost: $5 Members\, $10 Nonmembers\nFetLife RSVP\nFacebook RSVP \n  \nThis introductory workshop is an exploration into what the basics and beginnings of Flogging look like\, how they’re helpful and the possibilities that flogging can add to a scene or bedroom. \nTogether we discuss the impact skill and how to safely prepare and execute a beginners flogging scene. \nWe will look at varied types of floggers to understand the different effects that may be achieved with multiple tools. We will discuss anatomy of our partners\, and look at varied throws/falls of the flogger. \nAt the end of the workshop\, there will be a time for questions and discussion. \nBio:\nLynx began his leather journey quite by accident in Chicago\, IL in “The Hole” of The Jackhammer Complex in 2015. There\, he was introduced to The Men of Onyx and his flame for leather\, kink and community was ignited. Since learning how to properly execute such skills as Wax\, Fire\, Flogging\, and Mummification\, Lynx has been given the opportunity to share his findings with the community at-large by showcasing at National Events such as CLAW\, MAL\, IML\, The Eagle NYC\, Pleasure Chest\, Folsom Street East and at monthly Bar Nights hosted by the NY/Northeast Chapter of ONYX. \nLast October\, Lynx was chosen as Mr. New Jersey Leather\, 2019– an honor he’ll cherish for the rest of his life. How to use various materials and some basic repair as well as the culture and history of bootblacking. It isn’t just about shining shoes and apparel\, it’s about service\, intimacy and bodies. Making the person in your chair feel empowered and taken care of. This is about queer sex and power\, and a long history of loving leather culture. \nBio: \nNogga has been in leather for 20 years and a bootblack even longer. Learning and working with some of the best mentors around he has inherited the history and skill set from a long line of bootblacks and leather folks and now continues the tradition of passing that on to those who wish to learn.

We plan on being at the beach from 10 until we run out of sunblock. Brace yourselves\, people; It’s going to be one awesome summer day. \nHow do I get to the beach?\nBy vehicle:\nGo over the Marine Park Bridge to Far Rockaway. (Take exit 11s off the Belt Parkway. The bridge is at the southernmost end of Flatbush Ave.) There’s a $4 toll in each direction. Stay left and follow signs to Riis Park. Follow the signs and go to beach parking on the right. $10 for cars and motorcycles. Cross the road to the beach and the Bath House (red brick buildings) on your left. Turn left and keep walking until the boardwalk ends. Proceed down last stairwell and look for the Leather Pride flag between the lifeguards. \nBy public transportation:\nTake the 2 or 5 train to the last stop\, (Flatbush Ave). Catch the Q35 bus in front of Target. Get off at the Bath House. Turn left and keep walking until the boardwalk ends.
