In honor of Women’s History Month, LSM is sitting down to talk about past and present history in the queer kink community. Amazon Maddox, Annie Rose Malamet, Cheyenne Taylor, Felice Shays, and Yin Q will be sharing their personal journeys with kink and how they became publicly involved in the BDSM/leather scenes.

Join us for a moderated panel, followed by open discussion.

Amazon Maddox aka BrujaPxssy is an AfroLatinx GenderFluid ProDominant. Through their work as a  guide and mentor, they strive to make BDSM and alternative lifestyles more of a well represented community for marginalized groups, as well as make meaningful connections with those they encounter on their own journey into self discovery, pleasure and healing. Annie Rose Malamet is a Mommy identified leatherdyke cultural critic. As the creator of the podcast “Girls, Guts, & Giallo,” she examines subversive and controversial films from a femme leatherdyke perspective. Through her writing, Annie blends personal narrative and film theory. Currently, she lectures on representations of fatness in film. Annie believes that we learn more about our culture and ourselves when we examine how marginalized identities have historically been portrayed in film. Pronouns are She/Her. Cheyenne Taylor is a Licensed Master Social Worker working as a psychotherapist at both the Manhattan Alternative Wellness Collective and Wiser Sex Therapy Associates. Cheyenne’s passion for restorative mental and sexual health awareness stems from her insightful work as an NYC Pro-Domme and queer kinkster. Currently, the majority of her work pertains to issues associated with kink/BDSM, polyamory/CNM, and LGBTQ+ communities. Felice Shays is a Jewish, Femme, queer, Daddy in stilettos sex and BDSM educator who loves a heavy toy bag, brass knuckles, and old and broken dogs. Based in Brooklyn, Felice is a dominant switch who, for over 15 years, has taught, performed and presented at countless venues and events across the US and Canada encouraging people to do breathtaking sexual feats. Felice’s writing about Rough Sex appears in “The Ultimate Guide To Kink”; she believes in love, respect, kicking ass, laughing hard, and having the conversations that scare us. Pronouns are She/Her. Yin Q is a leather/kink educator, writer, & sex worker rights activist. Yin is the founder of Kink Out, an NYC collective that brings the intersectional identities of the leather/kink communities together for art, activism, and conversation, named artist in residence at MoMA PS1 this past winter. They are also a co-director for Red Canary Song, a grassroots organization of AAPI sex workers, advocating and providing resources to migrant Asian massage parlor workers.
