Love may be a burning thing, but your fire play should be mindful and conscientious. Literally playing with fire carries intrinsic risks – this class starts from a harm reduction perspective, with a foundation of safety, consent, and risk mitigation. Fire play tools, executing a scene, and bottoming for fire play will be discussed, followed by specific techniques including fire wands, spray, flash, foam, and cupping. Shay will demo multiple techniques on herself, with explanations of the details of the process as well as the rewards. If you’re bound by a wild desire to fall into a ring of fire, they’ll give you the background to do so as safely and skillfully as possible!
Shay Tiziano is a vivacious femme switch who first learned fire play to the tune of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire,” as a fun and sexy way to keep warm in a chilly Minneapolis basement playspace. A self-proclaimed “lava monster,” she’s been passionately giving and receiving fire ever since. Shay is known for her unique, dynamic performances and fun, attainable, and risk-awareness focused approach to education. She is the author of Tying & Flying, the first-ever book about self-suspension. Based in San Francisco, Shay has over a decade of experience presenting across the US and internationally. In her home community (during non-pandemic times), she produces over 20 events a year, including BENT, the Bay Area’s biggest dungeon party, Self-Suspension Open Space, and acclaimed bondage and fetish performance event Twisted Windows.
